STMicroelectronics (ST) launched the world's first digital radio chipset that can simultaneously receive and process AM / FM broadcasts and multiple standard digital broadcasts (such as DAB +). The radio can also seamlessly switch between traditional analogue FM broadcast signals and digital broadcast signals, and decode the sound effects and data of two different digital broadcast channels (DAB 1.5). ST's new algebraic digital radio chipset is a complete radio solution, based on one or more (up to four) multi-standard RF chips and a baseband processing chip that can perform all software stacking. This chipset provides excellent instant performance. The baseband chips have no processing bottlenecks, low current consumption and minimal electromagnetic interference. It can support DAB standard (DAB / DAB + / DMB-A), Digital Radio Mondiale open broadcast standard, and HD Radio â„¢ technology (requires combination with external co-processor).
