IDTTM (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.) introduces a new HD PC audio codec -- the first codec developed and produced by IDT since the acquisition of the product line last summer. The new device is a low-power, high-fidelity audio codec designed to deliver home entertainment-grade audio fidelity for enterprise desktop and portable systems while supporting advanced voice over IP (VoIP). The IDT 92HD71B has 4 stereo channels and is compatible with Intel High Definition (HD) audio interfaces. The audio device provides 24-bit resolution for stereo and sample rates up to 192kHz. The dual digital SPDIF output facilitates simple integration of the device with multichannel consumer entertainment devices, including simple audio integration with system HDMI video. The codec uses IDT's proprietary technology to achieve more than 100dB of digital to audio conversion (DAC) signal-to-noise ratio fidelity. It also includes extensive optimization capabilities to minimize unwanted audio issues, such as noise during system startup.

In addition to high-fidelity, low-power devices, the IDT PC audio solution includes a flexible, easy-to-customize graphical user interface (GUI) that helps system designers optimize system features and help with home entertainment, VoIP, and more.
