The US Energy Administration considers adjusting the LED lighting fact plan guidelines

The US Energy Administration ’s LED team is currently working on a new set of de facto guidelines for LED lighting, describing the performance characteristics of standard LEDs to help consumers and designers clearly distinguish the differences between traditional and LED lamps.

In order to improve the reliability of the data on the LED lighting fact label, the Energy Bureau hopes to retest the product. But in the end, in order to avoid the expensive testing costs of semiconductor lighting manufacturers, it was decided to postpone the announcement of new regulations.

Earlier in the semiconductor lighting market seminar in Pittsburgh, the United States discussed the guidelines for the Energy Bureau's plan to adjust the LED lighting de facto plan. The adjustments will include retesting any modified lamps after one year, and random sampling of certain products to maintain product quality. (The manufacturer will bear the cost of these inspections) However, the industry has responded that the cost of retesting semiconductor lighting fixtures is too high, so the Energy Bureau will reconsider the details of the adjustment and find other ones that can both reduce test costs and improve LED product data labels. Alternative methods of reliability.

The Energy Bureau also said that the LED lighting facts will be combined with semiconductor lighting performance testing. Both tests will maintain the original functionality, but the data will be combined into a single portal for individual product evaluation.

Incremental Encoder

Incremental encoders provide speed, direction and relative position feedback by generating a stream of binary pulses proportional to the rotation of a motor or driven shaft. Lander offers both optical and magnetic incremental encoders in 4 mounting options: shafted with coupling, hollow-shaft, hub-shaft or bearingless. Single channel incremental encoders can measure speed which dual channel or quadrature encoders (AB) can interpret direction based on the phase relationship between the 2 channels. Indexed quadrature encoders (ABZ) are also available for homing location are startup.
