ZTE First Signs Optical Network Framework Agreement in UK Market

According to foreign media reports, ZTE and Gigaclear, a British private telecommunications service provider, signed a framework agreement to build a fiber access network.

Gigaclear, a private operator in the UK that is focused on providing fiber-optic networks to the community, according to the agreement, ZTE will provide point-to-point fiber-optic network access to core equipment to provide high-speed broadband in selected rural communities in the UK.

It is reported that the core equipment that ZTE will provide to Gigaclear for optical fiber network construction includes carrier-class core routers of the M6000 series; core equipment of the ZXONE8300 series and M721 series; metropolitan DWDM/OTN equipment; ZXR108900 series 10G MPLS routing switches; And NetNumen U31 network management system.
