Canada recalls Chinese-made "Litetronics" brand halogen bulbs
Recently, Health Canada and Shanghai Haifeng Lighting Co., Ltd. jointly announced a voluntary recall of the Chinese-made "Litetronics" brand MR16 series halogen bulbs. The recalled product is "Litetronics" brand MR16 series halogen bulb, which has obtained CSA certification (Canadian Standards Association certification), certification document number is 215548. The relevant information about the products involved in this recall is as follows: The recalled products were sold in Canada from April 2015 to April 2016 in approximately 9,898 pieces. The reason for the recall is that the central contacts in the bulb can soften and break or fall off at any time, causing poor electrical contact, posing a potential electric shock hazard. As of now, Health Canada has not received any reports of accidents or personal injuries related to the use of this product. Shanghai Haifeng Lighting Appliance Co., Ltd. received a report from Canada about the breakage of the center contact piece in the bulb. No personal injury report has been received. Health Canada recommends that consumers immediately stop using the above recalled products and discard them according to local municipal waste disposal guidelines.
