Entering Industry 4.0 Inventec to find Siemens

Advancing to Industry 4.0 and becoming a technology industry, Inventec (2356) announced yesterday that it has signed a letter of intent for cooperation with Siemens, becoming the first company to sign a letter of intent with Siemens. After signing, Siemens will use its group's Siemens PLM Software as its group. The main industry 4.0 software solution assists Inventec in realizing the concept and application of “German Industry 4.0”. The two parties will also form a new strategic partnership and move forward with the next five-year “Industry 4.0” project.

After Hon Hai announced the introduction of Industry 4.0, Inventec also announced yesterday that it has formed a strategic alliance with Siemens. In the future, it will introduce Industry 4.0 in the factory. Inventec will be able to import according to its needs, including vertical network connection intelligent production system. Horizontal integration of a new generation of global value chain networks, covering the entire value chain and straight-through engineering accelerated by faster and faster technology.

The letter of intent was signed by Yang Renjie, senior deputy general manager of Inventec Cloud Services, and Leo Liang, managing director and CEO of Siemens PLM Software Greater China.

In order to pay attention to it, Inventec Chairman Li Shiqin immediately spoke out on the platform, emphasizing that Inventec celebrated its 40th anniversary this year. In the face of new challenges, the first priority is to transform into manufacturing service. Cooperation with Siemens means Inventec has repositioned itself in the transformation of Industry 4.0, exerting the power of integration and integration, providing customers with the best networked services and enhancing the competitiveness of Inventec. The signing of the letter of intent will enable Inventec to quickly enter the perfect structure of Industry 4.0 and start using it. At the same time, it will also exert influence and drive other related manufacturers to follow up, thus helping Taiwan's industrial upgrading.

In general, moving to Industry 4.0 must go through five stages of development, including automation, digital manufacturing, smart manufacturing, horizontal integration, and end-to-end integration for production in a small number of diverse model orders.

Unlike "Industry 4.0" which is being actively promoted by the international community, Taiwan is responding to the broader "Productivity 4.0" project. The promotion structure is based on "Smart Automation (Intelligent)". In particular, it focuses on three major applications: smart manufacturing, smart service and smart agriculture. The goal is to promote the upgrading and transformation of seven major industries, including machine tools, metal processing, 3C, food, medical, logistics, and agriculture. It is hoped to integrate smart robots with virtual reality. The system (CPS), Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data technology have achieved the goal of industrial intelligence. To this end, the government has also allocated 9 billion yuan for 9 years to help manufacturers upgrade.
