BOSCH talks about how MEMS sensors can capture Industry 4.0
Bosch Microelectromechanical (MEMS) sensors have been widely used in mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet computers. In addition, MEMS sensor applications for consumer electronics such as wearable devices and fitness trackers are being actively developed. Bosch Sensortec Taiwan and Southeast Asia General Manager Huang Weixiang pointed out that Bosch's MEMS sensors are mainly used in handheld devices, and the largest market for more than one billion smart phones sold in one year. In addition, many notebooks with separate screens and keyboards can be seen in MEMS sensor applications. In the future, MEMS sensor applications for wearable devices and VR/AR devices will continue to be expanded. In addition, Bosch also plays a pivotal role in assisting the transformation of Vendor Industry 4.0. In addition to actively promoting the transformation of Industry 4.0 in its own factories, Bosch is also assisting Taiwan's industries to upgrade to the Industrial 4.0 environment. Bosch Rexroth, a subsidiary of Bosch, was awarded the Certificate of Automation Examination of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in November 2016 and became the technical service unit of the Industrial Bureau's functional project guidance program. In the future, we will combine the resources of the Industrial Bureau to assist in the R&D, innovation and improvement of performance in the real estate industry. Chen Junlong, Bosch factory automation sales manager, pointed out that many factories in Taiwan have actively sought the transformation consulting services of Industry 4.0, and hope that the factory operation process can be more digital and intelligent. However, vendors have few precise ideas about how to implement and set goals. Chen Junlong believes that in addition to the electronics industry, which has been digitized for a long time in the process, in Taiwan, the textile industry factory is currently actively seeking the transformation of Industry 4.0. The transformation of Industry 4.0 is not limited to the establishment of a new and complete intelligent and digital production line. More importantly, it helps the old factories to achieve appropriate industrial networking under certain budgets and various restrictions. Chen Junlong shared that Taiwanese textile industry already has very mature process equipment, but the original equipment is often unable to cope with contemporary diversification and small production needs. Chen Junlong further analyzed that after assisting many Taiwanese textile mills in value chain analysis, it was found that the bottleneck hindering intelligence was actually at the back end of the process. Textile manufacturers can retain most of the old equipment, and only need to replace the large-scale back-end machinery with equipment that can handle small quantities and be flexible, which can improve production efficiency. In addition, the MEMS sensor is used to grasp the humidity, temperature, vibration and other data signals to properly monitor the operation of all devices. In turn, it can reduce the chance of mechanical damage and improve the stability of the production line, while meeting a small number of various production requirements, so that the existing production line equipment can maximize the availability.
