RV reducer

RV reducer structure

The RV-E is a two-stage reduction gear. The first stage reduction is the external engagement of the input gear and the spur gear. The three spur gears are symmetrical to the output shaft at 120° intervals.

The second stage deceleration drives the eccentric shaft through the spur gear to drive the RV gear mounted on the eccentric shaft, causing the eccentric motion of the two RV gears. The two RV gears drive the output shaft with a phase difference of 180° to provide a balanced load.

The RV-C is a two-stage reduction gear. The first stage reduction is the external engagement of the input gear and the first sun gear, and then the second sun gear is externally meshed with the spur gear. The three spur gears are symmetrical to the output shaft at 120° intervals.

The second stage deceleration drives the eccentric shaft through the spur gear to drive the RV gear mounted on the eccentric shaft, causing the eccentric motion of the two RV gears. The two RV gears drive the output shaft with a phase difference of 180° to provide a balanced load.

RV deceleration principle

A cylindrical needle is mounted in the inner ring of the outer casing, and the eccentric movement of the RV gear causes the needle and the cycloidal RV gear to mesh and disengage, and the plurality of sets of RV teeth and the needle are simultaneously meshed to improve the load capacity. Since the number of RV teeth is one less than the number of needles, when the eccentric shaft rotates one turn, if the case is fixed, the RV gear rotates at the same angle as the input shaft by one tooth.

The output can be a shaft or a case. If the housing is fixed, the drive shaft is the output and the outputs are in the same direction. If the drive shaft is fixed and the housing is an output, the output is in the opposite direction. Different gear ratios can be obtained by replacing the fixed and output parts.
