Introduction

This tester is suitable for the test of axial displacement changes under lateral restraint in various types of rock expansion tests. The equipment complies with JTG E41 "Plane Engineering Rock Test Regulations".

The test instrument is a digital direct reading structure of dial gauge, suitable for lateral restraint conditions in various rock swelling tests, test for axial displacement change, and test device equipped with a water permeable plate and a dial gauge.

Instructions

The test piece was placed in a metal collar coated with Vaseline on the inner wall, and a thin filter paper and a metal permeable plate were placed on the upper and lower sides of the test piece.

2. Place the fixed metal load block on the top and install the vertical dial gauge. The mass of the metal load block shall be capable of producing a continuous pressure of 5 kPa on the test piece.

3. Read the dial gauge reading and read it every 10 minutes until the readings are unchanged.

Slowly inject clean water into the water container until the upper permeable plate is submerged.

In the first hour, the deformation was measured once every 10 minutes, and then the deformation was measured once every 1 hour until the difference of 3 readings was not more than 0.001 mm. The test time after immersion shall not be less than 48h.

6. During the test, the water level should be kept unchanged, and the water temperature change should not exceed 2 °C.
