Guangdong LED street lamp inspection nearly 40% failed
Yesterday, the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision released the results of supervision and spot checks. Among the 51 batches of LED street lamps and light source controllers, spot checks revealed that 20 batches were unqualified and the rate of discovery of unqualified products was 39.2%. The reporter found that a number of companies in the list of unqualified companies and products that were notified were listed in the "Green Lighting Demonstration City Street Lamp Recommended Products" list last year.
Among the unqualified LED street lamps and light source controllers that were spot checked, there were many unqualified dust and water proofs, involving six batches. External wiring and internal wiring were unqualified and involved 7 batches.

In order to conscientiously do a good job in the promotion of LED products, and steadily improve the quality of LED products and promote technological innovation and industrial development, Chengdu Metropolitan Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision will provide LED lighting, LED display products and photovoltaic modules in the city from September to October this year. A total of 18 batches of LED lighting, LED display and photovoltaic module products produced by 13 companies (including 11 batches of regular supervision of 8 companies) were inspected. After inspection, 15 batches of physical quality were qualified, and the pass rate of physical quality checks was 83.3. %, an increase of 3.4 percentage points from 2011. Among them: spot checks 5 batches of photovoltaic modules, 100% pass rate of physical quality; LED lighting products 11 batches, physical quality pass rate of 81.8%; LED display products 2 batches, physical quality pass rate of 50%.
From the results of this special spot check, the pass rate of physical quality products was 83.3%. Although it was 3.4% higher than that in 2011, the overall quality problems were still outstanding.
A total of 11 batches of products from 8 companies were qualified, and 7 batches were qualified. The qualification rate was 63.6%, and the physical quality was 9 batches. The pass rate of physical quality was 81.8%.
