On October 20, 2007, 2007 China Lighting Designer Salon Guangzhou was held at the South China University of Technology in Guangzhou. With the theme of “Light in the Eyes of Architects – Architectural Lighting and Lighting Technologyâ€, more than 30 architects from South China were invited. Zeng Guozhi, chief designer of Guangying Lighting Engineering Design Co., Ltd., uses specific examples to describe the relationship between light and architecture:
This is the design plan of our resort hotel. The project is in the mountains. The concept is like this. It doesn't need a lot of lights at all. As the cost of the five-star hotel owners is magnificent, then we directly adopt the concept, the moonlight in the mountains is very bright. The moonlight architecture has been embellished. Of course, this also reflects the architectural culture. We have solved the unique mysterious features without doing a lot of lighting. The entire building area is over 40,000 square meters.
We feel that the lighting design does not directly damage the architectural concept, further extends the architectural concept, and more reflects these concepts, many of which are from the architect's philosophy.
