Powerbox , one of Europe's largest power companies, has been a leader in providing the best solutions for demanding applications for more than 40 years. Now introduces four new products for use on ships, PT570 , PT571, PT576. And PT577, in accordance with the main terms of DNV and GL and important ship certification organizations and approved. High-demand applications require peak power, and the new series delivers 50% additional peak current in 10 seconds and then achieves efficiencies as high as 92%. PT571, PT570 , PT576 and PT577 can operate from -25°C to +70°C without derating under convective cooling conditions. The stability of the new product allows it to be used in very harsh and high-vibration environments, such as diesel generators, all of which are surface-coated to protect them from condensation. The PT570 (250W) and PT571 (250W) mainframes come with substrate technology while the PT577 (250W) and PT576 (125W) are rail mounted.

Because it is used in ships and at sea, the installation of the product is required to be more stable than in the general industrial and office environment. This requires the power supply designer to strictly follow the design rules, strictly select the components and the technology meets international standards.

In a ship, usually two areas are well distinguished; the "bridge and open deck area" and the "total power zone" cover almost all other areas on board. Open deck areas and bridges have additional requirements for electromagnetic radiation and EMC because sensitive equipment is placed there, such as communications, radar and navigation equipment. EMC requires that radiation be much lower than the standard EN55022B and start measuring at 10kHz instead of the usual 150kHz. All products are EN60945 compatible.

Mechanical size and temperature requirements are also higher than those for general industrial applications. 4g is a common vibration level with large fluctuations in temperature from -25°C to +70°C and high relative humidity. The new products PT570PT571, PT576 and PT577 integrate the latest power technology to provide the ship industry with a unique electrical and mechanical performance.

In order to reach the highest level of safety, marine power architects often require redundant power supplies. To achieve this, several power supplies are connected in parallel and connected to each other through a diode. To simplify installation and use, the PT570, PT571, PT576, and PT577 have built-in diodes to optimize redundancy. If the power unit is used in "single mode" or "redundant mode", the user can choose it himself.

“The shipbuilding industry and demanding industrial applications require very high levels of reliability and stability. Such product designs must follow strict rules and use state-of-the-art technology,” said Martin Fredmark, vice president of product management. “The Powerbox Marine Series demonstrates Powerbox 's expertise in developing products for demanding applications.”

Different types of output protection are required because of different application environments. PT571, PT570, PT576, PT577 include three overload protection, switch, discontinuous mode or constant current mode, which can be selected and converted by DIP. The power supply contains a DCOK signal and a potential available relay contact fault protection. The front panel LED shows the status of the power supply (OK or fault)

In marine applications, it is not always possible to connect to the load near the power supply. Long power lines can also cause the output voltage to drop. This requires ship-related designers to consider these issues during installation. The PT571, PT570, PT576 and PT577 include voltage output settings that allow precise adjustment of the voltage load.

“The new product is the result of continuous optimization in our design, with a 40% increase in power density and improved energy efficiency and efficiency,” said Harm-JelleZWier, senior design engineer.

PT571, PT570, PT576 and PT577 input voltages from 90V to 265V, 47-63Hz (440Hz PFC reduction), leakage current is less than 3.5mA. All power supplies have an input-to-output insulation voltage of 3000VAC and an insulation voltage of 3000VAC input to the chassis.

The PT570 (250W-peak power 300W/10S) and PT571 (125W-peak power 150W/10S) have four adjustable output voltages of 12V (11-15V), 24V (23-29V), and 36V (35-46V). And 48V (47-56V). The typical efficiency of the PT570 and PT571 is 90%. The mechanical design of the substrate optimizes cooling, with a PT570 size of 230*115*40 mm and a PT571 size of 200*100*35 mm.

PT577 (250W-peak power 375W/10S), the four output voltages are the same as PT570 and PT571, and are housed in a 132*50*128mm box (without rail mounting equipment). PT576 (125W-peak power 187.5W) output voltage 24V or 48V, can be used reasonably. Dimensions 132*37*128 mm (without rail clamps).

All products can operate at no load and all products include overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature protection.

PT570, PT571, PT576, PT577 are designed for ships and harsh industrial environments and comply with the relevant safety standards EN60950, EN61000. It can work in a vibrating environment. The PT570, PT571, PT576 and PT577 vibration tests are in accordance with GL Table 3.16 - High vibration strain (±1.6 mm displacement, 2-25 Hz, 4 g; 25–100 Hz (1 octave/minute).

The PT571, PT570, PT576, and PT577 can be stored at heights above 10,000 feet and stored above 30,000 feet.

Flex Coiled Cable Assembly

The TPU materials type raw cable jacket can guarantee longer lifetime and quality. Coiled cable can be used to carry electrical currents as well as data and signal for telecommunications applications. This versatility makes coil cords ideal for use in environments that are often too rough for non-coiled cable.

It has the ability to extend beyond the natural length at rest, which can be a real space-saving feature. These cords are flexible beyond simple extending and retracting in that they can also be pulled, bent, and twisted without experiencing the metal fatigue of a straight cable.
