Basic features of the speech synthesis chip UM5101:

1 Low-power CMOS process manufacturing.

2Adopt adaptive incremental (δ) modulation (ADM).

The addressing capability of the 3UM5101 is 64k bits.

4 The external memory can be selected as one or two pieces.

5 Voice signal recording and reproduction rely on external DRAM.

6 has two recording/playback modes: manual recording mode and automatic recording mode.

There are two options for 7 sampling frequency and playback rate.

8 has a function of playing back only twice.

9 dual power supply, the power supply voltage is: DC 5V and DC 8V.

The UM5101 speech synthesis chip has two modes of operation: automatic operation and manual operation mode.

a. Automatic recording/regeneration mode The UM5101's 18-pin MODSE terminal is connected to a high level (8v) n inch. Immediately after power-on, the UM5101 enters the automatic recording/regeneration mode. The LEDOUT terminal is low level and the external LED is lit.

b. Manual recording/regeneration mode When the 18-pin of the UM5101 is connected to a low level, the power is turned on and the waiting state of the manual recording/reproduction operation mode is entered.
